Middle School Hockey
Newburyport Middle School Teams participate in the Martian Sports Middle School Hockey League.
This is a "games only" league designed bring players from their towns back together to provide an environment where friends, neighbors, and schoolmates can participate on a hockey team together that isn't solely based on wins and losses.
Ages
We are currently offering teams for the following grades:
5/6 Grade Boys
7/8 Grade Boys
6/7/8 Grade Girls
When
This is a supplemental, "games only", league that typically begins in November.
Where
Most games are held at Merrimack College and/or Phillips Andover Academy
Practices
There are no practices included in this registration/league
Games
Teams typically play 10 games during the Middle School season
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided by the NYHL
Extra Costs
There will be an additional registration fee paid directly to Martian Hockey to cover insurance.
GIRLS MIDDLE SCHOOL 24-25
The Middle School Girls Team is open to all Newburyport girls in the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grades.
If registration numbers are low, the NYHL may decide to open up registration spots to 5th Grade players on a case by case basis.
Price will be $325/player.
7TH AND 8TH GRADE BOYS 24-25
The 7/8 Boys Middle School Team is open to all Newburyport boys in the 7th and 8th Grades.
Price will be $325/player.
5TH AND 6TH GRADE BOYS 24-25
The 5/6 Boys Middle School Team is open to all Newburyport boys in the 5th and 6th Grades.
Price will be $325/player.
